Sculpture, Art and Ceramics
Trailblazing Art at Henley Art Trail
Over the weekend the Henley Art Trail opened its doors at 24 venues in Henley and surrounding villages. This was the 9th event and the venues we visited in Henley saw a steady stream of visitors. There were over 150 professional and up-and-coming artists displaying more than a thousand artworks covering a wide range of media.
The hidden gem was the Arts & Craft Centre in Singers Lane. These studios also opened their doors alongside the Henley Arts Trail. There are three studio units which are home to Jane Wilson, Emma Bruce and Jo Miles of Miles of Frames.
Jane makes a beautiful array of sculptures, ceramics and pottery. She hand rolls all her ceramic bowls and her stunning garden sculptures would make a perfect centrepiece for any garden.
More details and photos can be found on this website.
The Art Trail is organised by the Henley Arts and Craft Guild who also run a series of exhibitions, talks, workshops and programmes throughout the year. To find out more go to www.henley-arts.org
